Miss Ella-Mental Wix, the Gothy Fox
Sweet and sour, our Miss Wix is a bit of a contradiction as a happy Goth child. Sure, she can mope and despair with the best of them but when all is said and done, this fox is full of spunk and smiles. While her favorite thing is to make mini "art" mobiles with the bones of her prey (mostly mice and other wee rodents), this little vixen is the first to help a friend out of a jam, whether that involves mending a hem or solving a curse-breaking riddle. She's a mighty fine friend to have.
She's the first to admit she makes mistakes: take her ears, for instance. While dying her hair to a brilliant white, she managed to also dye her ears! Oops! But she's cool with it and happy that her hair is so white that it seems to take on, or reflect, whatever color is nearby.
Of course, she has a few tattoos, three at this time:
There's a stylized bat on her upper back, visible as the back of her dress is open beneath the collar.
And an incomplete heart on her right upper arm.
With a detailed ladybug on her right leg, just above the boot-line. Miss Wix enjoys lifting her lacy slip (just a little, mind you) to show it off.
Miss Ella-Mental Wix was created in a soft, wavy golden and a white German mohair with golden ultrasuede paw and foot pads, blue-green fox eyes, a hand-sculpted Fimo nose, red embroidery floss mouth and black claws. Her inner ears are hand-painted and her shoulder-length hair is purest white with black eyelashes. Her three tattoos were all hand-stitched. Entirely wired and jointed from her head to her toes to the white tip of her tail, she can assume many poses and can stand (at about 15 inches including her ears) on her own when wearing her knee-high zippered boots. (Unfortunately, to fit the boots, her feet are small and under-stuffed,) She's stuffed with polyester fiberfil and glass beads!
Miss Wix's
lovely costume starts with a pair of Monique lace-up boots. She wears an
off-white lace slip
(hook and eye closure) with a golden puff at the hem to give her skirt
fullness. A textured, black fabric was used for her skirt and top, while
her bodice consists of black ultrasuede. An ultrasuede strap with 2 small,
silver buckles and white polka-dot ruffled lace finish the top and are nicely complimented by the
collar which is also ultrasuede and ruffles. The dress laces up at the
neck with embroidery floss as well as down the back. A wrist band on each
arm with a matching silver buckle and two pairs of earrings add sparkle.
The top hat
is felt and has been decorated with a veil that
has just a bit of glitter, a silk burgundy red rose, 2 different types of green
bead leaves and a silvery spider at the back. It stays in place with
2 stick pins.
