Bat Head Brooches
Three species of bats are
represented here. All have brooch pins sewn onto their backsides so you
can wear them on your sweater, jacket, vest, hat... anywhere!
For each bat-head brooch that is adopted, $4.00 goes straight to Bat World Sanctuary.

This is the Western Pipistrelle. He's a native of southern Washington State all the way down to southern Mexico, and primarily a desert species.
My pip is about 2 inches tall. Created in a soft two-tone synthetic with an embroidery floss nose, safety lock eyes and lovely tan ultrasuede ears. $30.00 USD *adopted*
Here's a Silver-Haired Bat. Though uncommon, they have a wide range from southern Alaska across southern Canada and southward through almost all of the US and northeastern Mexico. They eat moths, true bugs, flies, mosquitos, termites and beetles! Thank you!
My Pip is about 1 1/2 inches tall. Created in a soft very dark brown streaked with silver synthetic with a pink embroidery floss nose, safety lock eyes and curved black ultrasuede ears. $30.00 USD *adopted*
And here are two Spotted Bats!
Unfortunately, their cute faces are rare and they are a species of special
concern. They range from south-central British Columbia to southern
Mexico, eating lots of moths.
Both of my big-eared fellows are
about 1 1/2 inches tall and almost 4 inches wide. Make a statement wearing one
of these! Created in a very soft spotted synthetic with a pale pink
embroidery floss nose, safety lock eyes and adorable, huge ultrasuede ears with
the noticeable "tragus" (inner ear membrane) in ultrasuede too. $30.00
USD
(both have been *adopted*)
On the left is a photo of Lil Drac, an abandoned Short-Tailed Fruit Bat hand-raised by the incredible folks at Bat World Sanctuary and on the right is my Lil Drac bat head brooch! The wee nose was a challenge!
Here's my version of the Honduran White Bat, with a photo of a real one for comparison.
And here are two bat head brooches that are very sweet but not meant to be any particular species.
Bat-head brooches are $30.00US each. To see who's currently available, please click here.
