Currently, my bare bears come in three sizes: 14, 12 and 9 inches.
This is Sweetness. Bears like Sweetness are about 14 inches tall, jointed, made of German synthetic with shaved or ultrasuede paw pads and have hand-painted ears,safety-lock eyes, hand-stitched noses, mouths, eyebrows and claws and are filled with polyester fiberfill/plastic pellets (and love!). Not recommended for young children.
While many of the bears on this page have already found permanent homes, please see the available page for those still seeking adoption. Also, please enquire about what I could create specifically for you. I'd love to create a bear meeting your preferences, so please ask about what's possible!
To the right is my version of the Titanic mourning bear, a black bear created in a super soft mohair with mauve, burgundy and pink mohair paw pads. To read more about him, please click here.
Cherry Pie is my baby bear, Sweetness’ little brother. He is very similar to Sweetness except that he is only about 12 inches tall and made of mohair. Bears like Cherry Pie are jointed, made of German mohair with shaved or ultrasuede paw pads and have hand-painted ears, safety-lock eyes, hand-stitched noses, mouths and claws and are filled with polyester fiberfill/plastic pellets (and love!). They are not recommended for young children.
At only 9 inches, here's Mosel and Jena! Bears like these are created in mohair with ultrasuede paw pads, hand-painted ears, safety-lock eyes, hand-stitched noses, mouths and claws and are filled with polyester fiberfill/plastic pellets (and love of course!). They are not recommended for young children. Mosel is shown here in his Hallowe'en witch costume and Jena with her big blue eyes wears a Fimo mask with a white feather and black ribbon ties.
Again, please feel free to contact me about creating one of my bears just for you!
Were
you able to visit us at Okto-BEAR-fest? This is Honey, a 12 inch bear, and
he was created specifically for the show. He's made in a honey-colored European mohair
with matching ultrasuede pads and was named Honey for my favorite type of
beer! What could be more German than a Teddy Bear and beer!?
Finished
off with black, red and yellow ribbons for the German flag, he's a sweet little
guy.
Related to the above bears is
C.K.
Slight variations here create a feminine bear with lots of gentle
character. Made in a swirly cream mohair, she's as soft as she looks and
stands about 12 inches.
And here's Tobee, closely related to C.K. Tobee is here pictured asking a gentle Polar Bear directions to the 2004 St. Mary's Teddy Bear Reunion. If he were a bear of a little more brain, he'd see the crowds reflected in the car's shiny chrome!
He sure is a cutie, though!

Sweetness and the swans Lily and Salt have their photos in the Bears and Beyond Canadian Artists' Album.
